TOKYO -- Arcade operator Taito will produce a headache card this spring that lets players use e-tailer Rakuten's digital currency upon its games.
The lover cards will be loaded subsequent to Rakuten Edy e-money. Players who use the cards at Taito's arcades will be light Rakuten Super Points.
Taito last year installed readers upon its arcade games that pay for a complimentary appreciation Suica transit talented cards and three additional types of e-child support. The company anticipates the new devotee cards living thing used in areas of Japan where digital currency is less widely adopted.
Additionally, Bandai Namco Entertainment will make its Banacoin e-currency usable at arcades. Banacoin payments are currently limited to online retail sites and purchases of computer games. The company will install readers in Dragon Ball-themed arcade games in March at the soonest, followed by tally flagship titles.
